Education Classes (Sunday School)

CORE CLASSES (Year Round)

Membership 101
This class surveys what LFCC is all about. It is especially beneficial for new members or those considering becoming a part of LFCC. We will examine our purpose, strategy, beliefs, and distinctive doctrines and practices.

Maturity 201
You will discover practical reasons why, and ways to, grow in your Christian life. We are reborn as babes in Christ, but God does not expect us to remain immature in our faith, dependent on being spoon-fed the milk of God's Word. He wants us to be a fully-committed follower of Christ, strong, and mature. This class will help you grow.

Ministry 301
This class will examine how you are S.H.A.P.E.'d to serve God based upon your spiritual gifts, heart, abilities, personality, and experience. The intent of this class is to get every person plugged into an area of meaningful service that one would enjoy.

Mission 401
You may not be involved in a foreign mission trying to reach natives who have never before heard of the name of Jesus, but you are still commanded to do your part to get the word out. Whether across the world of across the yard, we are called to evangelize the nations If the word "Evangelism" scares you, attend this class and realize how sharing your faith can become a normal part of your daily life.

***Everyone who is a regular at LFCC is expected to attend the Core Classes at some point. Even long time members will benefit. Each class will be offered twice a year. ***

Bereans
For our most seasoned saints, this class uses the Standard Lesson Commentary to discuss the faith and how it relates to living. A warm class filled with folks who have persevered in life, while being unmoved in their faith.

Encouragers
A class solely for women. The discussion one will find in this class centers around the issues of life must be dealt with from a women's perspective.

In addition to these regularly held classes we also offer elective classes.
Please check the list of current classes being offered.

Wednesday Prayer Group

Psalms 141:2 Let my prayer be set before thee as incense, and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice. (KJV)

As the old southern gospel song goes, "prayer is the key to heaven, and faith unlocks the door". The Wednesday night prayer meeting is a time of focused prayer by a community of those whose faith in the answered power of prayer is strong. It is a gathering of people who have come not only to praise, but to ask for prayer for themselves and others, and to offer prayer for so many reasons, because prayer IS the key to heaven! It is a time of powerful, yet peaceful reflection, a chance to connect with God's word and fellow believers, as well as the opportunity to take communion, if desired.

Come, join us as we unlock the doors to heaven! 6:00 Wednesday night.

Psalm 143:1 Hear my prayer, O Lord, give ear to my supplication: in they faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness. (KJV)

Road Crew

The "Road Crew" is a fellowship ministry of LFCC. It is open to anyone and everyone. We are not the crew that adopts a section of highway and keeps it cleaned up. Nor are we the crew to call for "pothole" repairs. It is a family get together and the kids are always welcome.
We meet at different times to enjoy the friendship and time together. We usually have a pitch-in meal and play some games. Games usually include Bible related subjects or are friendship related to learn more about each other. We have also taken road trips to visit nearby restaurants.

Come join us for lots of FUN and FELLOWSHIP. Hope to see you there.
